Doctor in Engineering, I am Control Software Engineer by BOBST Grenchen AG in Solothurner Canton, Switzerland, since September 2018. I am in charge of the development of:
- new software interfaces, communication solutions between the machines developed at BOBST Grenchen AG and some external packages (ERP, ...) that fits to our customer requirements,
- new control software solution for our machines.
BOBST is a Swiss company that supplies machinery and services to the packaging industry. Products include machines for the manufacture of packaging and its derivatives (such as labels, bags, and adhesive strips) from solid board, corrugated board or flexible materials (plastic films, etc.).
As a Control Software Engineer, I am in charge of the development of new software and control software solutions for integrating the machines development with some external tools (ERP, ...) based on customer requirements or motion control algorithms for innovative machines.
- Development of software interfaces between our BOBST machines and external applications, such as ERP, data logger systems, essentially with C# .NET, in the framework of Internet-of-Things (IoT), Industrie 4.0.
- Development of control software applications for our BOBST machines, such as the POWERALIGNER sheet aligning system.
The Intensified-by-Design (IbD) Project has created a holistic platform for facilitating process intensification design and optimization in processes in which solids are an intrinsic part. The project has developed and upgraded methods for the handling of solids in continuous production units based, on the one hand, in the intensification of currently existing processes and, on the other hand, through completely new approaches to the processing of solids. IbD is the new paradigm in the intensification of processes based on statistical, analytical and risk management methodologies in the design, development and manufacturing of high quality safe and tailored chemicals, pharmaceuticals, minerals, ceramics, etc. under intensified processes.
Within the project, I was in charge of the overall project coordination at the University of Applied Science Offenburg for the development of a TRIZ-based toolbox for innovation-based design of new process intensifying concepts in process engineering.

The PhD thesis resulted to the development of a new optimization-based tool for computerizing the selection and combination of technical solutions within n optimal and global integrated mechatronic system.
Master thesis at the University of Strasbourg (6 months) on the modeling, optimization and control of a domestic wind turbine.
Master thesis at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, Labor of Robotic Systems (LSRO) on the modeling, control and calibration of a parallel robot, Delta Keops. The Delta Keops robot is an adaptation of the famous Delta robot developed by R. Clavel with linear joints replacing the usual rotational joints.
